My sister has an Asian pear tree and gave me a whole bunch, so I made an Asian pear crisp. It's delicious! Next up, making Asian pear jam to use as a filling for cakes. #baking

Today's baking: quiche. The back one is the usual with fresh spinach and basil, bacon, cheddar cheese, and apricots. The front one is a new recipe with spinach and basil, sauteed mushrooms and shallots, bacon, gruyere and parmesan cheeses. They smell good! #cooking #baking

The finished doughnuts. It's a vanilla doughnut with raspberries inside, topped with a raspberry glaze and roasted walnuts and sea salt. One has a raspberry filling. The middle one is just glazed. I couldn't be any happier with how they turned out! #baking #doughnuts

This week's baking project: banana bread with toasted pecans and a glaze on top to give it a bit of crunch. It's a new recipe I'm trying, so we'll see how it tastes. It smells good! #baking #bread #bananas

The cake turned out really good. Very moist with good flavor. This recipe is a keeper.

I'm still here. It's been a difficult time for my family as we're dealing with a couple of serious health issues, which is why I've not been posting much. Any positive thoughts you could send my way would be much appreciated.

A beautiful crisp morning at the Beaverton Farmers Market. The tress are beginning to change their colors as autumn approaches. So many wonderful aromas in the air as I walk around.
